Accessibility statement
How accessible Crossbench is, what we know needs improving, and how to get help.
1. Our aim
We want everyone to be able to use Crossbench, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2. How accessible the site is
Crossbench was checked on 6 November 2026 with automated tests across its main pages, on a computer and on a phone, in light and dark mode. The tests covered colour contrast, heading order, names for links and buttons, labels for form fields, visible keyboard focus, pages fitting narrow screens, and the size of links and buttons for tapping. The problems found were fixed. Crossbench has not yet been tested by people who use assistive technology, or by an accessibility specialist.
3. What we know needs work
The interactive maps and charts, in Power Map, Voter Profile and Party Index, may be hard to use with a screen reader or a keyboard.
4. Getting help or reporting a problem
If something on Crossbench is hard to use, or you need content in a different format, email [email protected]. Tell us which page and what went wrong.
5. About this statement
This statement was prepared on 6 November 2026. It will be reviewed after testing, and at least once a year.
